Peaceful Pathways Inc.
Peaceful Pathways, Inc. is a private human services agency that
provides a variety of services to meet diverse needs. While our
offices are located in Williamsburg, Virginia, we have provided
services to individuals and organizations through the Commonwealth.
With an emphasis on conflict resolution for the individual in his
or her life, two parties experiencing interpersonal conflicts or
multiple parties in a community/corporate disputes, our staff is
available to offer personal confidential services to meet the specific
needs of those we serve. Among the programs we provide are:
MEDIATION:
A problem solving process facilitated by a
neutral third party trained to enhance the flow of communication
and explorations of alternatives. Our mediators are certified to
provide services for all three levels of courts in the state. Sessions
are confidential and fees for services are based on income.
MENTORING
AND SUPERVISION OF PROFESSIONALS: Our staff has been approved
by the Supreme Court of Virginia to serve as mentors for mediators
in training. With access to all three levels of court, we can
provide not only supervision but also cases for continued supervision.
In addition, Peaceful Pathways, Inc. offers supervision for those
interested in enhancing skills as facilitators of adult learning.
Fees for mentoring/supervision are negotiable.
PARENTING
EDUCATION: For over twenty years our staff has provided numerous
types of learning opportunities for adults in various disciplines
and settings. We are available to meet with you either as an
individual or organization to discuss customized programs to
best meet your needs.
CONFLICT
CONSULTATON: This new service was developed to meet the numerous
requests for assistance with conflicts when other means of dispute
resolution have not been successful or not possible. Conflict
consultation means individual assistance with dealing with a
problem and development of a personalize plan of action that
explores alternative solutions. Consultation is confidential
and designed to be a supportive compliment to legal representation.
We work with you to assist you and your attorney. Fees for conflict
consultation are based on a sliding scale.
DIVORCE EDUCATION:
4-HOUR seminar that meets the requirements of Section of the
Code of Virginia, as amended. Included in this
course is information regarding the effects of parental separation
on children, the emotional impact of a primary relationship
ending for adults, the importance of emotional and financial
support for children, techniques for resolving conflict and improving
conflict
between parents and parenting plan considerations. Scholarships
available for those who qualify.
